Lee’s Cakes - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Lee’s Cakes! By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

General Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of cakes, bouquets, and related products by Lee’s Cakes.
1.2 By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1.3 Lee’s Cakes reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.

Ordering Process

2.1 All orders must be placed at least 7-14 days in advance to allow adequate time for preparation.
2.2 Urgent orders may be accepted based on availability and may incur an additional rush fee.
2.3 Custom orders require clear specifications, including flavor, design, and delivery/pickup details.

Payment Terms

3.1 A 50% deposit is required at the time of order placement to confirm your booking.
3.2 The remaining 50% balance must be paid upon collection or before delivery of the order.
3.3 Payments can be made via:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Mobile Money (e.g., EcoCash)
  • Cash (For in-person transactions)
    3.4 Orders are not confirmed until the deposit is received. Failure to make full payment on time may result in order cancellation without refund of the deposit.
    3.5 For large or highly customized cakes, full payment may be required before production begins.

Delivery and Collection

4.1 Customers can choose to either pick up their orders or request delivery.
4.2 Delivery is available within Chinhoyi and surrounding areas for an additional fee based on location.
4.3 Customers must provide the correct delivery details at the time of ordering. Lee’s Cakes is not responsible for delivery issues due to incorrect or incomplete information.
4.4 Once an order leaves our premises, we are no longer liable for damages caused by mishandling or improper transportation by the customer.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

5.1 Order Cancellations:

  • Orders canceled at least 5 days before the delivery/pickup date may receive a partial refund, subject to a 15% processing fee.
  • Orders canceled less than 5 days before the delivery/pickup date are non-refundable, as ingredients and materials would have already been purchased.
    5.2 Refund Policy:
  • Refunds are only issued if an order cannot be fulfilled due to reasons on Lee’s Cakes’ part.
  • Refunds will not be given for dissatisfaction based on personal taste preferences, as every effort is made to meet customer specifications.
  • Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of receiving the order, with valid reasons and photographic proof.
    5.3 Damage Policy:
  • Lee’s Cakes is not responsible for damages once the cake has been picked up or delivered in perfect condition.
  • If a cake is damaged during our delivery, a partial refund or replacement may be considered at our discretion.

Cake Storage and Handling

6.1 Cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place and refrigerated if necessary to maintain freshness.
6.2 Fondant cakes should not be refrigerated, as condensation may affect their design.
6.3 Customers are responsible for proper storage after collection or delivery.

Custom Designs and Changes

7.1 While every effort is made to match design requests, slight variations may occur due to artistic interpretation and ingredient availability.
7.2 Customers can request design modifications at least 5 days before the order is due. However, additional charges may apply for major changes.

Allergy Disclaimer

8.1 Lee’s Cakes products may contain or come into contact with allergens such as eggs, dairy, nuts, gluten, and soy.
8.2 Customers must inform us of any allergies when placing an order. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

Photography and Marketing

9.1 Lee’s Cakes reserves the right to take photographs of all cakes and bouquets made for marketing and promotional purposes.
9.2 If you do not wish for your order to be used in promotional materials, please inform us in writing at the time of booking.

Liability and Disputes

10.1 Lee’s Cakes is not responsible for issues arising from improper storage, handling, or customer transportation.
10.2 Any disputes must be raised within 24 hours of order collection/delivery.
10.3 Lee’s Cakes reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms or engages in inappropriate behavior.
